Welcome To Platinum Fitness Summerland

On our huge turf-covered “backyard” we do strength, power and plyometric training. In our ocean view cardio room we have the best machines in the industry such as the Versa Climber, Concept 2 SkiErg, the Aero Dyne bike, top-of-the-line treadmills, as well as elliptical machines, bikes and more. Upstairs we have a spin studio, massage room, and restrooms complete with showers. Not to mention Summerland itself is an outdoor gym with steep hills we make full use of for interval training.

THE PLATINUM WAY

Here at Platinum it’s important to us that every client that walks through our doors learns how to move correctly and safely. We start every client with a movement assessment. Once you’ve learned how to move correctly, we’ll start building your strength and working on a solid cardio base.

MOVEMENT

Walking the dog or playing with the kids. Running marathons or skiing black diamond runs. How we move matters. At Platinum, you'll begin with correcting faulty movement patterns.

CARDIO

So says Lance Armstrong about Platinum Fitness owner, Peter Park, a former Ironman triathlete and ultra-marathon runner who still holds records in his respective sports. The heart is a muscle and must be worked to stay strong, and at Platinum, we use the science and experience of over 30 years of competition and training to design cardio conditioning for people of all levels using Platinum's world-class cardio room and turf-covered "backyard."

STRENGTH

Now that you're moving well, time to start strength training. And strength matters. Because as we age, we lose muscle mass, making us less able to "Just Do It" like we used to and more vulnerable to injury if we try. By rebuilding your strength, you'll have the freedom to live your life without limits. Our trainers will design the best program for you to get there.

RECOVERY

Movement, strength, cardio and then comes recovery, essential to keeping muscles and tissue long, supple, and the body mobile. Whether it's PNF stretching, self-myofacial massage (foam rolling and smashing stuck tissue), or Postural Restoration, recovery is key and at Platinum it's fully integrated in your fitness routine.
